Local Light Grey Blend Wool Spinning Fiber, Locally Grown Humane Wool, Sold by the Ounce, Polypay Wool

$4.50

1 ounce

This roving is sold in 1 ounce lengths, so please select the number of ounces that you would like to purchase.

This is 100% locally grown blend of Dorset x Polypay sheeps' wool roving. The wool has a more natural, rustic medium handle, like traditional heritage sheep wools, and quite a lot of loft and spring to it. Unlike most sheeps' wool, Dorset wool naturally grows with a circular crimp, making the spun yarn loftier and warmer to wear for better insulation in outer knitwear. This blend has beautiful silver grey highlights, streaked with darker grey throughout and warmer brown tones speckled within. You can't beat the low budget pricing as well!

A great easy wool to spin for beginners, The roving is a dream to spin into some gorgeous yarn. This fiber was humanely grown and shorn , and your purchase helps to support local Kentucky Proud farmers.

Perfect for:

· Spinning

· Blending

· Felting

· Weaving

· Knitting

Label printed on recycled biodegradable cardstock paper. ♻

*Budget price- there may be some VM (vegetable matter) present in the roving, which is perfectly normal for natural, farm grown fibers. Most will fall out on it's own as you process it, and you can simply shake or pick out small pieces as you spin - or leave it in for a truly rustic and natural finished farm crafted yarn!
