Indigo Natural Dye Kit, Super Concentrated Natural Indigo Dye Kit for Shibori and Tie Dyeing Yarn or Fabrics

$45.00

🌿 Have you always wanted to try naturally dyeing yarns and fiber with Indigo, but didn't know where to start? Now you can take the guesswork out and jump right into dyeing beautiful blue creations with this easy to use Indigo Dye Kit, which contains all of the ingredients you need to begin dyeing- just add the fiber!

🌿 Fiberculture® Original Natural Botanical Dye Kits have been internationally acclaimed, and have been published in multiple popular textile magazines- including Long Thread Media (Easy Weaving with Little Looms, Spring 2022), Golden Peak Media (Interweave Knits Magazine, Fall 2022), and GMC Publications (Knitting Magazine, March 2020, Autumn 2019).

🌿 Indigo has been considered a rare and valuable ingredient in dyeing deep blue fabrics and fibers, and has been the foundation of centuries-old textile traditions in ancient civilizations across the globe. The dye is produced from the leaves of the plant Indigofera Tinctoria. Indigo can be used to dye a wide range of natural fibers, including cotton, linen, hemp, bamboo, alpaca, cashmere, wool, angora or silk. Fabrics and fibers such as yarn, knitted clothing and accessories, fabric cloth, or natural fiber clothing or home textiles can all be dipped.

🌿 In your Kit you will receive a highly concentrated vial of Indigo Dye. This Indigo has been crystallized and pre-reduced, making it the simplest form to create a vat in under 15 minutes! One vat can be used to dye up to 4 pounds (or even more with dipping lighter shades)** of fabric and/or fiber.

🌿 You can follow the very simple dyeing instructions and recipe provided in the kit's included Instructional Pamphlet. Dip, fold, twist, bundle, tie, stitch, or scrunch your fabric to get unique results- there are literally thousands of ways to create something beautiful with Indigo Dye. You can use the dye vat you create over and over to dye different shades of blue and create more finished items. Dip your cotton or linen clothing or textiles (pillowcases come out beautifully!), any natural fabric can be dyed in a natural indigo vat. Throw a dye party! Invite friends over, stir up a vat, and dye some t-shirts or cotton bandannas together! This large vat can dye up to 15 large cotton t-shirts!
